Until all hear the Good News of the Kingdom
At Iglesia El Camino we are developing a community project called New Roots Immigration Services, an initiative that seeks to accompany and support immigrant families in the Atlanta area. This project is born out of our pastoral experience of walking alongside many people who face challenges related to immigration processes, language barriers, misinformation, and limited access to trustworthy guidance.
Currently, New Roots is in the process of formation and in the application stage for Recognition and Accreditation before the United States Department of Justice (DOJ). This federal program authorizes nonprofit organizations and properly trained representatives to offer immigration legal services in an ethical and accessible way to underserved communities. While this process is underway, the project focuses primarily on community education, informational workshops, and connecting families with authorized resources and professionals.
The vision of New Roots is to serve the immigrant community with integrity, transparency, and compassion, helping families access trustworthy information and find support within the resources available in our region. Once the authorization and accreditation process is completed, we hope to expand this ministry to offer accessible and responsible services that strengthen the stability and dignity of many families.
As a church, we believe that serving our community is a practical expression of the love of Christ. For this reason, we continue working with care, responsibility, and proper oversight so that this project may grow ethically and sustainably, always seeking the well-being of the people we are called to serve.
New Roots does not provide immigration legal advice while the accreditation process is underway.
